The binary input operates by scanning floating contacts with an internally generated scanning voltage. Its operational status is clearly displayed by yellow LEDs, and the device includes a manual operation pushbutton for each channel. Power is supplied entirely via the ABB i-bus®, eliminating the need for an additional power supply.
A key security feature is support for KNX Data Secure, ensuring encrypted and secure communication on the bus. The device is compact, occupying only 4 modular spacings (70 mm) on a DIN rail, making it highly efficient for panel installation.
